4500 words on how digital ambience videos offer an immersive balm to the overwhelm viewers experience by existing in today’s world. The videos present a “hyporeality” one step removed from reality, maintaining human warmth and the trappings of functioning economic systems without the pressures of time, specificity, or agency.

This was a bit too interdisciplinary to be published in my field, but it was also a lot of fun to write.
